Please note, that even if a red icon appears next to your server's name it could be a temporary issue (such as a system reboot) which will be resolved in short order. Problems that last in excess of 30 minutes should be reported to us immediately, by sending an email to one or both of these email addresses hostmaster@kmkenterprises.com, hostmaster@kmkenterprises.net; or by contacting us via telephone. In most cases the service techs are already aware of any problems and are working to resolve them.

Setting Up Your Email Client Software
To set up Outlook/Outlook Express as your email client, do the following:To set up another application as your email client (e.g.: Eudora, Pegasus, etc.) use the information provided above. Setup will be fairly standardized.
- Click on the "Tools" menu
- Click on "Accounts"
- Click on "Add", then "Mail"
- Follow through the account creation wizard, using the following information as a guide:
- Your Name - Enter the name that will be displayed on outgoing e-mail
- E-Mail Address - Enter the email address (you@yourdomain.com)
- E-mail Server Names - mail.yourdomain.com as the incoming (POP) and outgoing (SMTP) mail servers.
- Account Name - your FULL email address (you@yourdomain.com)
- Password - the password you were provided for your account.
- Mark the box that says, "Remember Password."
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, mark the box that says, "My server requires authentication" and click the "Settings" button. On the settings screen, mark the choice that indicates the same settings should be used as your incoming server settings.
If your ISP does not allow you to send email via a domain based account, you may need to use your ISP account information for the outgoing mail server settings.Please Note: If your ISP is one that blocks outgoing email on Port 25, you may need to change the SMTP Port to 587. You will find this option under the Advanced tab.
Special settings for TheBook Server
- POP3 Server: mail1.thebook.com
- SMTP Server: mail2.thebook.com
- Account Name: the POP box name you were provided (p_XXXXX)
To set up Netscape as your email client, do the following:
- Click on the "Edit" menu
- Click on "Preferences"
- Click the [+] next to "Mail & Newsgroups"
- Click on "Mail Servers"
- Click the "Add" button
- Change Server Type to POP3
- Set Server Name to: mail.yourdomain.com
- Enter the entire email address as the User Name (you@yourdomain.com)
- Click "Ok"
- Enter mail.yourdomain.com as the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
- Enter the entire email address as the User Name (you@yourdomain.com) again.
- Click "Ok"

Point your Web browser to: http://mail1.thebook.com/horde - login using your email address and PASSWORD. Server: TheBook POP Server (you will be charged if you login to the account via IMAP).
